The week began with relatively settled weather, but as the forecast predicted a shift in wind direction to the north on Tuesday evening saw a marked difference in air temperatures and a covering of snow above loch More. Apart from a brief interlude on Thursday the wind remained raw and was accompanied by frequent showers of hail and sleet.

These prevailing conditions left angling pressure light. However, we did manage one on Thursday morning. Our very own Geordie Doull landed a 10-pounder from the tail of the weedy pool on beat 13. There were also a few other encounters throughout the week and had there been heavier angling pressure it is likely we would of seen a few more landed.
The unsettled weather looks set to continue, though a shift to a southerly wind direction will bring temperatures closer to the seasonal average from midweek.
Tight lines.
