The start of the week continued to be every bit as frustrating as the previous week with only brief glimpses of interest from the fish.
As we moved closer to the weekend a change in the weather beckoned with cooler northerly winds and periods of heavy rain giving the river a much needed lift in levels on Friday, but probably more importantly a drop in water temperatures giving us 17 fish on Saturday which is our best day of the month to date, although there is a good chance this may change come Monday.
George Hutton had the first of the week from beat 2, this was also his first salmon from the Thurso, Steven and Hilary Drury had a great week sharing five between them, Will Marshall also broke his Thurso duck with a fish from beat 8, Rod Lawrence, John Grieve, Raymond Stewart and Alan white all picking up a fish.
With loch More full and pouring over the top we have plenty of water for the foreseeable future.
Tight lines next week.
