Weekly Report

After the thaw from the previous weekend we started the new week with levels at around two feet, and with periods of heavy rain most days the river never dropped below 20 inches right through to Saturday.  While being a nice height to fish the old saying a needle in a haystack seemed an adequate way to describe fishing this week and with the haystack larger than normal due to the high levels it was a case of being in the right place at the right time.

We had one fish for the week although there were a few others lost and later in the week a few fish were seen running the fish pass into Loch more. The lucky angler was Stuart Wilson from Aberlour who had a sea-liced 8-pounder from the Dalemore pool on beat 10(pictued).

On Thursday night we were treated to an outstanding display of the aurora borealis.

Tight lines next week
