It came as a bit of a surprise to end the week with no fish. There were a few sightings and a fish lost on Saturday but that was about it.

The first half of the week was pleasent and warm with temperatures up to 14c, it was nice to feel some warmth from the early spring sunshine.

The second half of the week was completely different. Severe gales and a drop in temperatures with heavy persistent showers of hail and sleet made it uncomfortable and at times difficult to cover the water efficiently.

It looks set to remain unsettled and cold into next week although not as windy.
