Weekly Report

The weather has remained cold and unsettled throughout this past week,  along with periods of heavy rain the river remains at a decent height as we head into the final week of February.

It would be fair to say that the month so far has for the most part not been kind to those who have ventured out for a cast. The constant, cold east wind and a river that seemed to rise almost daily has left small windows of opportunities for angling. The one positive is Loch More remains full and the ground is saturated, a far cry from the unprecedented dry February we experienced last year.

The forecast is looking promising, warming south-westerly winds will see the mercury rise, possibly into double figurers which would be a welcome change, hopefully it won't be long before the first fish of the season is landed.
