We had a real mix of weather throughout the week, ranging from 27c heat to cold northerly winds and heavy rain. The first couple of days were solid from a fishing perspective until a blast of heat on Wednesday and Thursday slowed it down. Thankfully this was short lived and ended with torrential rain that seen the river peak at 14 inches on Friday Morning. While the river was carrying some colour at first it certainly got the fish moving, resulting in catches of relocating residents and fresh fish from the sea.

Kenny Johnston got off to a flying start on Monday with three from beat 2. Peter Duncan had a great week with six, Dr Mike leach landed five in two days from beats 4 and 2. Freddy Sutherland landed three, Ken McGeorge, David Kennedy and Graham Bruce-Gardner with a brace each. Gary Hendry, David Elder, Stuart Dawson, Denis Lyons and Nigel Cox all adding a fish to the weeks total.

Thankfully next week looks unsettled and not too warm.
