It is hard to believe we are still waiting for the first springer of the season. While there is no doubt there will be fish in the system there are 26 miles of river to hide in, it will be a case of keeping the fly in the water and being in the right place at the right time.

Heavy rain midweek was helpful lifting levels by a few inches and topping up loch More. The first half of the week was very pleasant with long periods of sunshine and light winds. However, conditions turned cooler later in the week with hard overnight frosts and a dusting of snow on the hills above loch More on Saturday.
The forecast looks more settled and considerably warmer next week.
Tight lines.
