After nearly four weeks of persistent low cloud and bitterly cold east winds it was a welcome change to see some sun this past week. With light wind winds it felt pleasant to outside, although by the weekend it turned cooler again with overnight frosts and a covering of snow.

With these changes in the weather we have seen a few more anglers venture out hunting for that elusive first springer. While the wait continues into another week the river is in superb condition, clear, settled and cool, averaging 3'c over the last few days, hopefully the wait will end soon.
Tight lines.
