Weekly Report

The past week offered a welcome taste of spring with periods of sunshine and temperatures reaching well into double figures. However, these pleasant conditions haven't been the most ideal for fishing and the search for the first springer of the season continues.

The milder weather has brought life back to the river banks with the calls of the oystercatchers and curlews heard once again after a long dark winter.

While winter may be officially behind us, it is wise to remain cautious this early in March. And it seems we may be reminded of winter's chill, as next weeks forecast predicts cooler temperatures and the possibility of occasional snow flurries.
