Despite settled river levels and some nice periods of early spring sunshine no fish were landed this week. It has been strangely quiet on the water, the wait will continue into next week.

The milder spell of weather has brought noticeable changes on the riverbanks. Large numbers of geese have started arriving from further south on their northern migration, both lapwings and curlews have been spotted and it in a few weeks the ospreys will return for summer. It certainly feels those dark cold days of deep winter are finally behind us. The settled weather looks set to continue throughout next week.
Tight lines.
