With settled weather throughout the week it gave the opportunity to have a look to see if there was any damage to redds following the large flood a few weeks back. Thankfully the vast majority looked to be ok and there were only minor signs of gravel wash out at a few locations mainly on the lower beats which felt the brunt of the high water.
Clear skies during the first half of the week gave us hard frosts and some beautiful late evening displays of the northern lights.
It is hard to believe we are just over five weeks away from the start of the new season. The opening day dinner which is usually held the evening before the first day if the season had to be cancelled for the last two seasons due to covid restrictions, now we are back to the new normal and the dinner will be held on Tuesday 10th January 2023. If you would like to attend there are still spaces available, contact details below.
