The overhead conditions this week once again proved difficult for our anglers, bright blue skies and little to no wind made it very difficult. Despite this, we still had over 30 for the week, which is a testament to the tenacity of our visiting guests. Unsurprisingly, early mornings and late evenings proved successful times to fish. The majority of the fish caught this week were grilse.
Colin Penny had a great week with six to his own rod, Robert Mull had four, Jerry Oddie, Malcolm Dutchman Smith and Andy Barrowman all had three. Paul Sharpe picked up a brace including the largest of the week at 15lb.
Paul Burrows, Stuart Dawson and Ross Macdonald all had a brace each, and both Harry Edmunds senior and Junior had a fish each. Bill Taylor, Sandy Scott, James Mylne, John Parsons and John Gordon all add a fish a piece to the total.
Next week looks a little cooler with periods of unsettled weather.
Tight lines next week.
