Weekly Report

The start of the week brought some tough conditions for our anglers. We experienced little wind and long periods of sunshine, with Wednesday proving particularly challenging as temperatures climbed into the low 20s Celsius.
While the latter half of the week brought more favourable overhead conditions and brisk north-westerly winds, the fish unfortunately remained unresponsive.

Interestingly, the rainfall for April was less than a quarter of the average, which highlights the story of the season we've been experiencing.
On a brighter note, anglers have been commenting on the significant number of smolts observed throughout the river. The lower beats, in particular, have been full of thousands of them, nearing their final stage before heading out to sea

Tight lines next week.
