Given the continued decline in water levels it is becoming necessary to adapt our fishing techniques. The use use of larger heavier rods and nylon is now less of a requirement until we see a rise in levels.
For present conditions switch or single handed rods will be suitable for most situations. On some of the wider pools or during strong winds a double hander may be required. Fly sizes have now dropped to size 10s and 12s and even size 14s may be worth a go.
