With 15 fish landed it has been our best week of the season. With 7inches on the gauge fresh fish were pushing through most of the beats and many of the fish caught were sea-liced. On Monday and Saturday we had bright conditions which put the fish down, but as always the old adage of "keep you fly in the water held true, with a lovely sea-liced 15lbr being taken in the brightest conditions, For the rest of the week we had good cloud cover and nearly all the rods saw some action.
We have taken advantage of the dry conditions and have now completed the walkway around to the mound at loch beg. By extending either side of the original walkways we have taken out the boggy parts round to the mound and onto lower 13. Next week we hope to start extending the car-parking space at Loch Beg. This will give us a couple of additional spaces, one of which will be dedicated to the rods fishing lower 13.
During the next few weeks you will receive another e-mail from me asking if you still wish to subscribe to this report, this is to ensure we comply with new parts of the data protection act that comes in force at the end of May. Please look out for the email and respond.
To those fishing next week, tight lines.
