Weekly Report

Below is the weekly report for Sunday, July 25, 2021

The drought continues to grip the country and there is no clear end in sight , however we still haven't reached levels seen during the 2018 season. Thankfully evenings continue to remain cooler with low dense fog patches and temperatures on Saturday night dropped as low as 4c at loch More, this will help to keep water temperatures below 70 Fahrenheit and encourage some of  the increasing numbers of grilse building up in the estuary into the system.

Some of our anglers last week took the opportunity to do some trout fishing on the numerous lochs Caithness has to offer and with sea angling available out of Scrabster there are plenty to do if the salmon fishing is slow.
