Weekly Report

Below is the weekly report for Monday, December 24, 2018

I hope this finds you all in good health and all your preparations for festive season are well advanced! The Winter Solstice is now behind us and we will soon start to notice the days lengthening, all of which points to the fact that the new fishing season is not far away!

The Winter so far has been quiet with no big spates and no ice or snow, that will all change, of course, when the rods are out after the first fish and the wind and sleet are blowing into your face!

What will the new season bring?  An early springer would be good, dare I hope for a January fish, certainly there will be a good few rods out trying for that first fish and it will not be a lack of effort.

To you all,  the Ghillies and everybody at the Ulbster Arms and those that work behind the scenes, we wish you all a happy Christmas and an excellent  new year and we look forward to seeing you on the Thurso.

Tight lines to you all.

Tim Hawes.
