The weather has been settled for the most part over the past week, Monday and Tuesday brought the coldest daytime temperatures since February, with clear blue skies and no wind temperatures plummeted through the night and didn't recover during the day staying just below freezing.
A change of wind direction to the the south west on Thursday with periods of rain brought temperatures back to late single figures.
Today (December 22nd) sees the shortest day of the year, known as the winter solstice with less than 8 hours of sunlight. It only seemed a few weeks ago we just came to the end of the 2019 season, it won't be long before we will be casting a line in 2020.
