REPORT
The first week of the season was lightly fished due in no small part to the unsettled water levels that varied from 18 to 44 inches throughout the week. The rise in levels in second half of the week was caused by warmer weather front melting the snow and ice on the upper half of the system.
This slightly milder spell of weather in the north will continue for a few days although early forecasts are suggesting a return to colder conditions with snow and northerly winds.
As was seen on the news this week the sepa site has suffered a cyber attack so like the rest of scotland river levels are unavailable via their website until further notice.
Tight lines to all wetting a line this coming week and stay safe.
