Weekly Report

Below is the weekly report for Sunday, April 16, 2017

The week ended with eleven fish in the book, however this doesn't tell us the whole story for the week.

The promised deluge of rain forecast for the early part of the week failed to live up to its promise.

What the weather did bring us in Caithness was strong to gale force winds and a barrage of heavy showers from the middle of the week onwards.

We did have a small rise in river levels from this and as the week came to an end the level in loch more has begun to rise.

Speaking to the rods and Ghillies out on the river this week there is no doubting there are a good number of fish in the system  and while the majority caught were on the upper beats fresh fish were seen running on the lower river most days.

Going into next week weather forecasts are giving favourable conditions and with the rise in water levels there should be new fish in the system.

Tight Lines to all next week
