REPORT
Another week comes and goes without any significant rainfall, we had periods of heavy rain most days and even some thunderstorms on Friday evening which would of normally given us a lift in levels but with the ground being so dry it had little or no effect on levels.
Thankfully cool evenings and generally cloudy days have helped keep the water temperature down to anything between 54 and 62 Fahrenheit so the fish within the river have remained active and are at least showing interest in our anglers flies and some new fish have arrived in the lower river thanks to the biggest tides of the month
The nymphing king Kenny Johnson showed how really thinking out of the box can produce a few fish taking 3 for his week, on Wednesday evening after and period of heavy rain passed through Liam Milliken took 3 from the Hoy in quick succession with the largest weighing in at 15 pounds.
And the most spectacular catch for the week must go to Colin Penny catching a 19 pounder from the run out of Jamie Sutherlands on Micro hitch.
Tight lines next week
