Weekly Report

Below is the weekly report for Saturday, January 14, 2017

Welcome to the new Website and thank you for subscribing to the weekly report.

Happy new year to you all.

Winter has come to Caithness! Since the opening day the river has seen two good spates, up 40 inches and now we are looking at about 8 inches of lying snow and a few bigger drifts.

I can't imagine there will be any hardy souls out today. A few well mended kelts were caught, but that is the sum total of our sport, but given the conditions I think that was quite an achievement.

Looking forward to next week. With the melting snow, I expect a high river for most of the week, a few rods will be out and I wish them well.

The team are all looking forward to a new season and to those visiting us this season we look forward to seeing you.
