Next Weeks Prospects

Below is the prospects report for Friday, September 25, 2020

Next week looks like autumn will keep its grip on caithness and the river Thurso with night temperatures dropping close to or below freezing, this is making the male salmon a little more aggressive. The need for very small flies is less of a requirement with water temperatures back down to  low to mid 50s Fahrenheit. Strong northerly winds later next week will require a double handed outfit, but having a single handed or switch rod in the armoury should the wind drop and a little more of a subtle approach is needed.

Tight lines to all visiting the Thurso next week.
