Although there doesn't seem to be any significant rain in the forecast, the conditions look to be better for fishing. For most of the week we have decent cloud cover and the wind looks to increase as the week goes on.
The water in the loch should hold the river at around the 3.5 to 4 inch mark, which is not ideal, but coupled with the overhead conditions should enable us to have some sport.
This week should see the arrival of our first grilse. Normally towards the end of may we see a run of small grilse, so keep a look out.
As for tackle I would seriously consider going for s single handed rod if the conditions are calm, if it blows hard then a 13 ft double handed is ok, but over the last few weeks it has been the lighter approach that has been most successful.
