After the opening week we have had had all sorts of weather, the snow arrived on Friday night and on Saturday morning there was up to 8 inches of snow. It then warmed up and combined with some rain gave us a big spate, up over 4 feet on the marker. After that the river has been dropping back slowly and coupled with reasonably warm days it has given us some good fishing conditions.
Lots of well mended kelts have been reported, but as yet no fresh fish. The weather next week is looking quite quiet and with a settle river do we dare hope for a January fish?
Tight lines to all the rods out this week
